Mathilde Roussel- "Lives of Grass"

Lives of Grass sculptures show the effects of transformation of the material as a metaphor of the transformation of the body. Time sculpts the forms, makes them change and then decay.

Roussel's living sculptures have inspired me to using living plants as well as dried, preserved plants in my sculptures. I feel like it would progress my work further and look more into the over time element of growth process and what we need or what plants need in order to grow and thrive.
