Sarah Hatton's "Florid" pieces for her Bee works series came to my interest the most with how she has arranged thousands of dead honeybees in mathematical patterns symbolically linked to monoculture crops, such as the Fibonacci spiral found in the seed head of the sunflower.

Raising awareness of Bee decline and neonicotinoid pesticides. Her work has inspired me to look into patterns which are in flowers, symbols which have meaning and links with bee decline. Other ways to use resin and to make the importance of the decline more visible to the viewer.
