The Sun and Her Flowers

The Sun and Her Flowers is another poetry book by Rupi kaur that I decided to read considering I loved her first book Milk and Honey. This book is also separated into different chapters which all have their own purpose and meaning. It is a collection of poetry about grief, self-abandonment, honouring one's roots, love and empowering oneself. The chapters named wilting, falling, rooting, risings and blooming. Even though it's what flowers and plants do in nature it's also what humans do to grow as a person. It is something I found really interesting and personally touched my heart, feeling and relating to what we go through in our everyday lives and through it all we are learning to deal with situations and learn from them.

"Think of all those flowers you plant in the garden each year they will teach you that people too must wilt ,fall, root, rise in order to bloom"

Reading poetry really makes me see things a little differently and think better about situations, I believe it is important to know and realise the importance of life, how we play a big part in it and how the smallest of things can make a big difference.
