I decided to go straight into making a sculpture with an embroidery hoop that I had and some twine string, along with some natural objects such as flowers, leaves that I had let dry out. Once I had made one I actually liked the outcome and decided to make two more different sculptures and even tied two embroidery hoops together to make a 3D shape. The reason I used the embroidery hoops was because I liked how they are round and it made me think of the world and how its cycle of change in the weather, seasons are always moving around, in a loop.

This two piece hoop sculpture in particular stood out to me the most and I just really liked the outcome of it. I liked the different angles of the appearance change when looking at it, watching it spin when holding it up by a piece of string. I believe it will be a piece I may come back to for inspiration when proceeding and developing throughout my project.

This sculpture is different from the hoop sculptures I made but it was a good outcome especially because the fresh flower that was placed in the middle of the triangle shape made from flower stems, it began to dry up and become smaller over time so it was really good to experience that change with time.
